About the Institute

The Institute of Brownfield Professionals (IBP) was created to:

• provide a forum for discussion of business, regulatory, and technical issues of common interest; 
• represent members in regulatory matters; 
• provide educational and training media and forums to advance members’ knowledge and capabilities; 
• certify the apparent capabilities of environmental professionals; and 
• promote members’ availability to serve those who need the services of environmental professionals.

The IBP is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization. Staffing is provided by Bachner Communications, Inc. (BCI), a well-known business communication/association management firm that has been meeting the special needs of technical professionals since its founding in 1971.
