Richardson Elected President of the Institute of Brownfield Professionals - December 12, 2007

Donald W. "Don" Richardson, C.P.G., R.B.P. (Kleinfelder, Inc.) has been elected president of the Institute of Brownfield Professionals. Others elected to serve with Mr. Richardson are:

Mr. Richardson is an expert in supporting contaminated property transfers across a range of technical services, from pre-acquisition due diligence support to remedial action implementation and long- term monitoring. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology and a Master of Science degree in hydrogeology, and is a certified professional geologist. Through his 20-plus years in the environmental consulting and contracting field, Mr. Richardson has acquired a broad range of project experience ranging from preliminary site evaluations and underground storage tank closures to comprehensive subsurface investigations under federal and state environmental regulatory programs. Mr. Richardson is well versed in the requirements of CERCLA, RCRA, and the New Jersey Industrial Site Remediation Act (ISRA, formerly ECRA), as well as the fundamentals of developing and implementing environmental investigations and evaluating remedial alternatives. A senior program manager with Kleinfelder, Inc., Mr. Richardson is an active member of the N.J. Chapter of the National Brownfields Associations Executive Team and also is an active member (former Chairperson) of the N.J. chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties' Regulatory Affairs Committee. Mr. Richardson is a frequent guest speaker and has published articles addressing risk management strategies and use of environmental site insurance.
