New Issue of the Brownfield Professional Newsletter Available - June 28, 2007The new edition of The Brownfield Professional, a newsletter for brownfield and other environmental professionals, is now available free here. According to Institute Executive Director John P. Bachner, "Volume 2, number 2 continues the Institute's mission of sharing information of interest to those involved with brownfields." The newsletter leads off with an article about new criteria for Registered Brownfield Professionals (R.B.P.), soon to be developed by an Advisory Committee comprising nine brownfields industry stakeholders, including the Urban Land Institute, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the Mortgage Bankers Association, the National Brownfield Associations, and five others. Also included is the announcement of seven new publications available from the Institute covering a range of issues--a case study of a brownfield redevelopment project in Rhode Island, ESA Standards of Care, and recommended practices for resolution of disputes in the construction industry. Additional articles cover a court case where it cost a company $29.2 million when it failed to enforce its electronic document retention policy, how one company is leveraging its R.B.P.s on staff, and Institute member participation in the upcoming NBA The Big Deal Conference in October. The Institute publishes The Brownfield Professional six times a year. |
